ANGA COM 2015: Kabel Deutschland selects S3 for multiscreen test automation
DetailsEditor | 10 June 2015
Video performance and service provider S3 Group is to validate Kabel Deutschland's multiscreen video services across CPE platforms, including Apple iOS and Google's Android OS devices.
Germany's largest cable network operator, and Vodafone subsidiary, will use the StormTest Development Centre to integrate the testing of its TV services, including mobile video applications into its test framework. The Development Centre will see use simulating user gestures to control touchscreen devices, enabling the testing of second screen devices. Kabel Deutschland believes that it can improve its testing efficiency by adopting features that will enable it to run the same test script across its different consumer devices, and to streamline error resolution by capturing results in a consistent manner across platforms.
"Subscribers want a great user experience, regardless of the device being used. By integrating all devices into our existing test framework Kabel Deutschland will be able to test feature updates and new services faster," explained Kabel Deutschland teamleiter service management, Bernd Hansen. "In particular, mobile video application testing with StormTest will give us a reliable, repeatable, and automated method to assure the quality of multiscreen user experience."
