FOX taps Eurocom for Evertz software-defined equipment

21st Century Fox's multimedia company, which distributes pay-TV signals National Geographic Channel, Baby TV and Fox Life in Spain has invested in Evertz content management equipment for IP-based services.
Fox International Channels produces and distributes 300 different channels and TV signals across Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia. Besides, delivers mobile services, HD broadcasting and video-on-demand (VOD) content, it also produces its own local line-up through two international production studios.
Evertz's catalogue of software defined video network (SDVN) products includes commuting systems, decoders or multiscreen systems. Since May it has been placing a matrix in different parts of Spain managing content routing through an IP network.
The equipment was sold by Eurocom Broadcast, Evertz's partner in Spain , a company specialising in the professional television sector an broadcast offering intelligent solutions for the audiovisual industry.
