Viacom signs Sohu.com, TVN Chile for Lip Sync Battle

After announcing its new show at MIPTV 2015, Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) has announced two international production deals, in China and in Chile, for Spike TV's Lip Sync Battle.
The show launched in the US in March 2015 and averaged an audience of over three million viewers a week across its 18 episode run. It also recently launched on the Spike UK channel.
The network has confirmed a production deal with online media giant Sohu.com in China, to adapt the series for local audiences to enjoy across its digital platforms. Those include tv.sohu.com, 56.com and other Sohu-owned digital platforms. The 13-part series joins an extensive portfolio of US shows which air across Sohu's online platforms to over 600 million users.
VIMN has also confirmed TVN Chile as the first free-to-air network to produce and air a local adaption of the hit show. Currently in pre-production, the series – consisting of 12 episodes – will be hosted by Chilean journalist and TV presenter Karen Doggenweiler. Lip Sync Chile: Duelo De Famosos will air in the second half of 2015.
