Videocon d2h adds Kannada music, news channels

Indian satellite TV operator Videocon d2h has strengthened its regional language offering with two more direct-to-home channels Raj News Kannada and Raj Musix Kannada.

Bringing the number of its Kannada channels to 24, the two satellite TV channels from the Raj Group will add local news from Karnataka and Kannada-specific music.

"We continue to add more variety and value through our offerings. We want to offer the whole gamut of channels and services empowering the consumer to opt for his preferred choice of language. We will continue to focus on strengthening our regional content offering, thus keeping us at the forefront," said Saurabh Dhoot, executive chairman at Videocon d2h.

Anil Khera, CEO, Videocon d2h, added: "We are happy to announce the additions of Raj Musix and Raj News as a valuable addition to our Kannada language content channels.
