Acorn nabs DVD rights to Humans

Acorn, an RLJ Entertainment brand that specialises in curating and distributing the best of British television in North America, has acquired the electronic-sell-through (EST) and DVD rights in North America to Humans.
Humans stars William Hurt and is based on the award-winning Swedish drama Real Humans from Matador Films. Humans made its US premiere on AMC on 28 June, with next-day availability on Mondays for download on multiple platforms including iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, Vudu, Google Play, Xbox Video and Sony Entertainment Network.
Following its launch on Channel 4 on Sunday 14 June Humans was a huge ratings success, with a consolidated audience of 6.15 million, becoming the broadcaster's highest rated originated drama in 20 years.
RLJ Entertainment's Acorn brand will also release Humans on DVD in the first quarter of 2016.
