Digital media firm Infostrada has become an official Apple iTunes-certified encoding house for the delivery of TV content.

This certification follows Infostrada being officially certified by Apple at the end of last year for delivering movies for iTunes.

Infostrada's Digital Media Services department masters and distributes video content for premium content providers to major video-on-demand (VOD) platforms, including iTunes. Infostrada's Web application, UpperEast, adds metadata to video content, digitises it from different file or tape formats, checks it by quality control (QC), and localises it into various dubbing and subtitle versions. A master is then created that meets platform specifications, including iTunes.
