Former Star TV executive Vivian Yin has joined FremantleMedia China as CEO to replace the outgoing Yu Le, the global TV content producer has announced.
Based in Shanghai, Yin will report to FremantleMedia Asia's managing director Paul O'Hanlon and be responsible for the day-to-day running and expansion of FremantleMedia's Chinese operation.
"FremantleMedia's China business is a critical part of our strategic growth in the region. Vivian's strong sense of content creation and hands on production expertise, plus her experience as a highly regarded executive at Star China will be a fantastic asset as we step forward with our plans in China," said O'Hanlon.
Before joining FremantleMedia, Yin was chief representative and VP production at Star China. She was responsible for business development, acquisitions and distribution, and supervising Star China's talent show projects including The Voice and Dancing With The Stars.
"I am extremely honoured to be joining the senior team of FremantleMedia Asia, and adding my experience to drive exciting new growth plans in China. I look forward to working on the raft of projects already in the pipeline, and broadening our business as we continue to diversify," said Vivian Yin.
Her predecessor Yu Le is leaving FremantleMedia to move to Australia with his family, the company said in a statement.
