Globo has closed a deal with MediaPro, the Spanish sporting rights company, for the broadcasting rights for Brazilian football.

MediaPro will carry the Brazilian League, the São Paulo State League and the Rio de Janeiro State League for the next three years (2016-2018) for countries in Europe and Asia – with the exception of Portugal, Croatia, Albania, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia, Macedonia, Kosovo, and Slovenia.

In China and Spain, the rights will be negotiated starting in 2017.

The Globo package includes 172 games of the championships. Also included are the exhibition rights for the programmes Footbrazil, which presents interviews, the top goals, analysis of the teams, and special reports on Brazilian football, and Footbrazil Highlights, which brings together the best moments of the games of the round.
