Singapore's live current affairs TV show Talking Point on Channel 5 has adopted never.no's social content aggregator platform STORY.
The weekly topical news programme, broadcast in English every Tuesday evening, has studio guests with host Steven Chia and audience interaction via call-ins, texts and emails.
The multi-channel and instant social monitoring capacity of never.no's STORY 1.6 social content application enables views and opinions to be easily incorporated – via snap polls, graphs, and comment captions – into the show's studio debates from across social media networks.
"Using a new social TV platform enables us even greater control of gathering, managing and publishing social content on air. Social is a key element of Talking Point, driving the show's content and discussions. Allowing viewers to have their voices heard greatly enhances the show by providing insights into what topics are important and popular amongst Singaporeans," said Yvonne Lim, executive producer, Talking Point.
Scott Davies, CEO, never.no, added: "We are excited to be working with such a dedicated and forward-thinking team at MediaCorp and are greatly looking forward to exploring the immense possibilities STORY will bring to a fast moving, topical and feisty live show like Talking Point".
MediaCorp joins never.no's growing list of broadcast clients: Sky, QVC, Televisa, MTG, Fox Sports Australia, MBC, Telemundo, Viacom, Al Jazeera Network, NBC Universal, CBC, Don't Look Down, USA Network and TV New Zealand.
