CSI Sports has licensed its HD channel Fight Sports to Indonesian direct-to-home (DTH) TV operator MNC Sky Vision and Finnish telco Elisa, as well as renewing its deal with Hitron in Papua New Guinea.

The deals mark the expansion of Fight Sports to 24 countries across Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. The channel, which launched at the end of 2012, airs high profile live world title boxing events (WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO), Championship Kickboxing, MMA, Martial Arts and exclusive reality, documentary and original series.

In addition, Fight Sports shows past bouts from HBO Championship Boxing and classic fights with boxing legends Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Oscar De La Hoya and George Foreman.

"CSI Sports has been a syndication partner of MNC for years and with the growth in popularity of fight content in Indonesia we are confident that our subscribers will enjoy and benefit from our multi-platform launch of their Fight Sports network," said Dhini W Prayogo, chief sales, marketing & content officer, MNC SkyVision.

Anne Ames, Hitron's operations manager, added: "We are excited to announce the renewal of the high calibre Fight Sports channel for another full term in Papua New Guinea. As an action packed channel showcasing a range of multi-disciplined, fight related sports programming, we believe Fight Sports is ideal for many of our mature, discerning viewers".
