Singapore's MediaCorp has contracted Vizrt to help equip two fully automated production control rooms and two news studios on its new broadcast campus.
It is the first time Viz Mosart control room systems are being deployed in Southeast Asia, where they will be integrated by Qvest Media alongside the other Vizrt production products used by MediaCorp to provide real-time compositing and graphics.
"Moving to our new facilities is a major milestone for MediaCorp and we wanted to integrate the best-of-breed technology to make it a success. There's continuity with Vizrt which has been a long-time technology partner and we know its solutions are the best choice for us as we undergo the next big step for the company," said Norraine Yusof, senior vice president, campus technology development, MediaCorp.
Viz Mosart will be integrated into the new facility's Vizrt graphics systems, comprising an Octopus newsroom computer system, Snell Kahuna vision mixers, EVS playout servers and twinned Shotoku robotic camera pedestals on the studio floor.
MediaCorp also used two new Vizrt Virtual Studio systems and a touchscreen system for its news coverage of the 28th South Asian Games held in Singapore. These will now be moved into the broadcaster's new campus.
