After securing its first distribution deal with Spain's second-largest pay-TV platform, Vodafone TV, Mediapro is taking newly-launched beIN Sports to Orange TV and regional operator Telecable, increasing the network's presence while football seasons are kicking off around the globe.

While the country's largest operator, Movistar TV, hasn't agreed yet to screen Al Jazeera's sport channel, other players have been quick to add the network, which was officially launched earlier this week.

It broadcasts high definition (HD) sports 24/7, including the best international football. The channel will deliver the entire UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League, in addition to England's Premier League, Italy's Serie A, France's Ligue 1 and Latin America's Copa Libertadores. Regarding Spain's La Liga, no agreement has been reached yet, but it's probably about to happen as Telefónica - Movistar TV owner and manager of La Liga rights within Spain - has the obligation to sell every right due to being the prevailing operator in the country.

In addition to linear programming, beIN Sports is also available online through and for mobile devices via a TV-everywhere app.
