Now TV nets exclusive Hong Kong rights to La Liga

On the eve of Barcelona and Seville battling for the European Super Cup, PCCW Media, which operates Hong Kong's leading pay-TV service now TV, has secured rights to show La Liga football in the territory.
Now TV has bought rights encompassing the next three football seasons to 2017/18 and will show the likes of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Suárez live in both standard definition and HDTV. Viewers will be able to enjoy matches on-the-go via the now Player app or from now TV's video-on-demand (VOD) service.
"We are proud to have been awarded another three seasons of La Liga to bring to Hong Kong football fans," said PCCW's executive vice president of pay-TV, Loke Kheng Tham. "Being Hong Kong's home of sports, the award of the La Liga broadcast rights represents our continued commitment to bringing the world's best sports actions to our customers."
