Singaporean online video service Viddsee has launched a mobile video app for Android.

"Asia is a mobile-first market with an appetite for high quality cinematic content," said Viddsee co-founder Derek Tan. "We are proud to showcase the best talent and creativity from this region and to continue engaging our community of users and viewers in Asia with Viddsee."

Viddsee specialises in short films, covering genres like horror, thrillers, romance, comedy, drama, real-life stories and documentaries.

The Android version of the Viddsee app enables users to sync their films across desktop and mobile devices, receive personalised weekly film recommendations, search for films and view them in offline playback with automatic downloading while on Wi-Fi networks.

"Since our founding, we have worked with many filmmakers to surface their stories to a mass audience. As we continue shaping the media and entertainment landscape as Asia's Mobile Cinema, we are committed to continuing this work and help them make their next films with us," says Ho Jia Jian, Viddsee's other co-founder.

The Viddsee app for Android is available free at the Google Play Store.
