Germany’s largest cable operator Kabel Deutschland has made its high-speed internet access service with a data rate of up to 200Mbps available in further 25 cities and surrounding towns.

The latest upgrade circle enables more than 700,000 households to surf the net twice as fast as before in cities such as Hamburg, Jever, Kulmbach, Lindau, Wittenberg, Potsdam, Stade, Straubing, Trier, Weimar and Zweibrücken.

In total, 4.5 million households can now access speeds of up to 200Mbps for downloads and up to 12Mbps for uploads.

In early 2016, the Vodafone subsidiary wants to provide its high-speed internet service to a total of more than 10 million households.
