KBS World, the international channel of the Korean public service will be available on Tivýsat, the Italian free-to-view satellite DTH platform.

KBS World is a South Korean television channel operated by Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) aimed at international audiences outside South Korea. It was launched on July 1, 2003. It mainly broadcast in Korean, but subtitles in English are also provided.

Programs on KBS World are sourced from KBSís two domestic television services; KBS1 and KBS2. Just about all genres of programming can be seen in KBS World television service including news, dramas, documentaries and childrenís programming. Broadcasts mostly in Korean, it also shows an English language news bulletin, KBS World News Today, on weekdays, and other original productions like The Three Colors of Korea.

KBS World will be available in HD, and can be received via decoder equipped with tivýsat HD Gold Sticker or via TV equipped with tivýsat HD Ready white sticker and tivýsat CAM.

With the new addtion, Tivýsat now offers 69 channels on the platform, of which seven are availble in HD.

There are 20 international channels on the platform including BBC World News, France 24 (in French and English), Al Jazeera (in Arabic and in English), Euronews, Bloomberg, NHK World (Japan), CCTV News (Chinese), and Ukcraine Today.
