Mira TV is set to premiere the most watched content from Spain's Mediaset – including fiction, entertainment and news programming – across Florida.
Following an agreement last month with Mediaset's CincoMas – an international HD channel that solely broadcasts Mediaset content – Mira TV aims to draw the US Hispanic audience with some of Spain's top television productions.
Prime-time shows will include El Chiringuito de Pepe, Tierra de Lobos, Homicidios, Hospital Central and Piratas, as well as Cambiame, Escenas de Matrimonio and Qué Tiempo Tan Feliz.
"Mira TV is thrilled to be the first station that will provide the exceptional productions from CincoMas to Hispanics in the US and Florida in particular,” said Judith Prado Lombard, general manager of Mira TV. “This will be a game-changer for all traditional Spanish channels, both locally and nationally.”
Mediaset is, together with Atresmedia, the leading free-to-air (FTA) television group in Spain, owning six DTT channels – Telecinco, Cuatro, FDF, Boing, Divinity and Energy.
