Starting tape gets nearer for 4K 4Charity Fun Run
| 07 September 2015
It's T-minus five days for the 4K 4Charity Fun Run at IBC, and broadcast and TV leaders are responding stronger than ever.
Taking place at this year's IBC on Saturday 12 September 2015, the 4K 4Charity Fun Run Series, of which the later edition is at Europe's premier broadcast technology show, commemorates major Ultra HD achievements by the global media and entertainment industry and the technology vendors who support it.
Elemental Technologies, together with co-founding sponsor Ericsson, is using the 4K 4Charity Fun Run to raise funds for CARE. The organisation aims to fight global poverty and focuses on community-based efforts to improve basic education, end gender-based violence, provide healthcare and nutrition, increase access to clean water and sanitation, expand economic opportunity and protect natural resources.
As of 6 September 2015, the Corporate Challenge Leaderboard Standings for the 4K 4Charity Fun Run showed that companies participating broke the 90-mark with nearly 300 registered participants. Rapid TV News is a proud media partner of the 4K 4Charity Fun Run and will be participating in the event.
Registration donations currently stand at €7,655 with corporate sponsorship donations at €21,600.
Elemental Technologies is currently ahead of the pack when it comes to registration donations with €1,360, followed by EVS straight in over the last week with €420. The rest of the pack is led by Aspera (€350), online video disruptors V-Nova (€350) and Host Broadcast Services on €335.
