In a move claimed as being able to drastically reduce the cost of IPTV platforms, Anevia has entered into a strategic partnership agreement with global multiscreen platform provider Digisoft.tv.

The focus of the partnership will be the integration of ViaMotion INFINITE into Digisoft.tv's CastCatcher HDMI product range. The result, says Digisoft.tv, will be the most advanced and cost effective IPTV solution available today.

CastCatcher includes built-in support for Digisoft's multiscreen secure client applications across all mobile platforms, and with Anevia it can now also provide full network DVR functionality in a small form factor.

The combination, described as unique, enables the delivery of an advanced, white label, multiscreen VOD solution that matches the evolving needs of today's operators. ViaMotion INFINITE allows operators to deploy cloud DVR services minimising storage and network resources, ensuring the best quality of experience and providing full control over recording activities. The joint solution is also attributed with eliminating moving parts and truck roll, two of the most costly operational headaches for operators today.

"This alliance allows us to meet the needs of operators deploying future-proof OTT multi-device strategies with an eye to performance, flexibility and cost-efficiency," said Digisoft.tv CEO Fearghal Kelly. "It represents the first time that Anevia and Digisoft.tv have collaborated to advance real world solutions for MVNOs."
Added Anevia VP Ian Jefferson; "Viamotion INFINITE capabilities are entirely platform agnostic, the applications running on the Digisoft HDMI dongles provide further evidence of this."
