At Jornadas Internacionales in Argentina, Turner International Broadcasting is to present its new content portfolio targeting TV everywhere and video-on-demand (VOD) consumers through its three mobile platforms.
Following the success of local productions such as series Historia de un Clan – co-produced with Telefe, Underground and Argentina's audiovisual institute INCAA - and Signos (Turner, Polka and Canal 13), Turner International Broadcasting is preparing more premieres in Latin America's key markets, although most of the catalogue is designed for Mexican and Argentinean audiences.
The first 2016 production to air will be Psiconautas, on TBS Veryfunny, and this will also premiere on TNG GO, Space GO and Cartoon Network GO. TNT will also present El Dandy, co-produced with Sony and Televisa and filmed in Mexico, and Hasta Que Te Conocí, also eyeing the Mexican market.
In addition to in-house formats, Turner has also acquired international content for its pay-TV networks. TNT is to premiere Heroes Reborn, based in the series Heroes, and Colony. Space will bet on Mr. Robot, the USA Network series which has seen huge success in the second half of 2015, and Limitless. Live events like the Latin Grammies and the American Music Awards will also come back to TNT's screens.
Last year Turner attended Jornadas Internacionales with a portfolio of three TV everywhere platforms for Latin America; now, 12 months later the company says it aims to strengthen its mobile and VOD consumption.
"We are aware of entertainment being essential for audiences, which is why we intend to strengthen the links between our channels and their viewers with innovative content and paying attention to their interests and needs," said Felipe de Stefan, general manager of Turner International Argentina.
