Following Kantar's recent investment in Latin American audience measurement through its acquisition of a controlling stake of Ibope Media, the companies have now rebranded into Kantar Ibope Media.

Effective from October 2015, the companies will integrate their tools within the new service, aiming to strengthen their leading position in the region. Kantar Ibope Media will also be announcing investments in new solutions, scalability and technology.

"Our goal is to combine both companies' strengths in order to offer our clients the highest innovation in media research solutions," said Orlando Lopes, CEO, Ibope Media. "We believe in quality and being at the forefront of the market."

The deal between Kantar and Ibope, announced in December, will see Orlando Lopes continuing to run the company, joining the Kantar Media board and reporting to chairman and CEO Andy Brown.

"Kantar Media and Ibope Media have worked in partnership for 17 years. Given the opportunities we see in the region, the time was right to increase ownership and to accelerate the sharing of technologies and offers with the Kantar Media business," said Andy Brown at the time.
