The Czech national commercial broadcaster Prima saw its profit fall by more than half last year.

Quoting figures contained in the Sbirce listin (Collection of Documents), E15 reports that FTV Prima, the broadcast licence holder of the TV stations Prima, Prima Cool, Prima Love and Prima Zoom, had sales of CZK2.6 billion (96 million) in 2014, down from CZK2.9 billion a year earlier.

Meanwhile, its profit before tax amount to CZK252 million, or less than half the 2013 total.

Prima was the third most watched TV group in the Czech Republic last year, with an audience share of 21.54% among viewers aged 15+.

The broadcaster is jointly owned by GES Media Holding and Modern Times Group (MTG).
