After 53 years on air, Don Francisco will deliver a further ratings boost to US Hispanic TV, as Univision prepares to air a documentary about the iconic entertainer.

Premiering tonight, 26 September, Univision News will be showing the biography of one of the most popular Hispanic presenters of all time: Mario Kreutzberger, better known as Don Francisco.

El Último Gigante (The Last Giant) will bring viewers an in-depth, vivid profile of the man behind the world's longest running variety show, Sábado Gigante, which recently came to an end, after he stepped down from the show.

Univision News' cameras follow Kreutzberger from Talca, the Chilean town where he was born, to the capital, Santiago, where in 1962 he created and launched Sábado Gigante. The programme also takes viewers to New York City and Miami to go behind the scenes at the Univision studios.

Together with the premiere, Univision will enable viewers to join the social conversation about the documentary by following @UniNoticias and by using the hashtag #ÚltimoGigante on Twitter and Instagram, and via Facebook.com/UnivisionNoticas.
