From being non-existent three to four years ago, advertising investment in Spanish online video will near 60 million by the end of the year, 29% more than 12 months ago.

According to the Zenith panel for 2015-2016 advertising industry, online video, along with social media and programmatic sales, will be the markets seeing most growth, while traditional media will show the slowest growth due to the already huge investment they receive.

After several years of drops, free-to-air (FTA) TV investment will continue to grow, as it has been doing since late 2013. By the end of 2015, FTA TV ads will have generated 6.8% more income than in 2014, and in 2016, the business is set to grow by 6.3%.

The same thing is predicted for pay-TV, although the amounts are considerably smaller. Advertising in pay-TV will grow by almost 11% by the end of 2015, and by 9.6% by December 2016.

According to all the Zenith forecasts during 2015, this year has been a period of general growth for media as the Spanish financial situation became more stable.
