TV experience firm Rovi has extended its interactive programme guide licence agreement with Time Warner Cable.

The extension covers both distribution and patent licensing.

Rovi's guides, metadata and recommendations drive programme search and navigation on millions of devices. With a new generation of cloud-based discovery capabilities and emerging solutions for interactive advertising and audience analytics, Rovi holds over 5,000 issued or pending patents worldwide. It recently signed a similar deal with Comcast.

"We are pleased to continue our business relationship with Time Warner Cable," said Tom Carson, Rovi president and CEO.
