BeIN Sports expands sales, marketing team

beIN Sports is to add several executives, including John Duff as director of business development and strategy, to its US and US Hispanics sales and marketing team.

The network, which has been growing at a rapid pace since its launch in 2012, offers premium sports content and entertainment across multiple platforms including TV channels beIN Sports and beIN Sports en Español, and live streaming on beIN Sports Connect.

“We are thrilled to be strengthening our marketing and ad sales teams with the addition of these talented executives,” said Antonio Briceño, deputy managing director of beIN Sports. “It is our duty as the leading international sports network to provide our advertisers and viewers with the commitment to quality and professionalism that has proven to be vital to our success.”

With over 20 years of experience in multi-platform content management, John Duff joins beIN Sports as director of business development and strategy to support affiliate sales and marketing and content acquisitions efforts.

Peter Hering joins as the east coast sales manager, bringing experience in the marketplace and his capacity to cultivate client relationships along the east coast.

Rounding out the sales team is Alex Almirall, who has been brought on as senior account executive in New York and will also lead client development efforts along the west coast.

Finally, Valerie Boldrin joins the network as public relations and corporate communications manager.
