Cisneros Media Distribution (CMD) and Getty Images Latin America have signed an agreement to develop and commercialise programmable content, including Ultra HD videos.

The deal has led Cisneros to establish a new creative unit, MOBIUS.LAB Productions, dedicated exclusively to the creation of content and formats catering for multiscreen viewing habits. At MIPCOM 2015 CMD will showcase over 20 different shows being developed by MOBIUS.LAB.

"Any event taking place around the globe is immediately captured by Getty Images' photographers and cinematographers. The material will then be curated by a creative team that will develop and produce content in all formats, genres and lengths in accordance to clients' needs," said Marcello Coltro, EVP, content distribution, Cisneros. "MOBIUS.LAB is the pillar of our strategy, anticipating the sharing-generation entertainment needs of the millennial cyber-audience."

"Cisneros' creative vision and executional capabilities, combined with Getty Images Latin America's editorial and stock footage, photos and music, should work to produce some exceptional and dynamic content," added Marina Engels, managing partner of Getty Images Latin America.

MOBIUS.LAB will generate programmes showcasing Getty Images' archive of 80 million still images and illustrations, over 50,000 hours of film footage, including 4K videos, and an extensive music library.
