Already having the licence for the original Dutch format The Best Singers, Magnolia TV is to produce a Spanish version of the reality talent show for Atresmedia.

Atresmedia is strengthening its entertainment formats with this docu-reality series which has seen success across Europe.

The Best Singers, created and owned by FTV Rights BV, was originally broadcast in 2009 on Televisie Radio Omroep Stichting (TROS), part of The Netherlands's public broadcaster.

Following its success in The Netherlands, the format was adapted in 2010 in Sweden and Denmark, in 2012 in Norway and Finland, and then in France, Estonia and Germany.

The show has also been licensed to China's CCTV, and similar programmes are planned in the UK, Brazil, Australia, the US, Italy and Russia.

The Spanish version will be produced by Zodiak's Magnolia TV, recently acquired by Banijay, making it the third show the company has created for Atresmedia after the Antena 3 interview show Dos Días Y Una Noche and laSexta's Millonario Anónimo.
