MTG launches two new Nordic channels

Leading Scandinavian pay-TV group Modern Times Group (MTG) has expanded its local bouquet with two new channels: Viasat Series and Viasat Film Hits.
Set to launch on 10 November in Sweden, Norway and Denmark, Viasat Series is designed to bring viewers series from around the world with a mix of all-time favourites. Initial content includes series exclusive to Viasat and Viaplay like Empire, and the launch also gives a new home for series Blue Bloods, Californication, House of Lies, Nurse Jackie and The Late Late Show. All series will also be available on MTG’s online video streaming service Viaplay.
Available in the three Scandinavian countries and Finland, Viasat Film Hits will be home to blockbusters such as The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and The Hunger Games: The Mockingjay - Part 1, Tootsie, Marie Antoinette, Nordic dramas such as Børning and classics including Braveheart.

In connection with the launch of Viasat Series and Viasat Film Hits, MTG has made further changes to the Viasat Film channels line-up. The channel will now be known as Viasat Film Premiere while Viasat Nature’s prime time schedule will be extended and replace Viasat Crime, while the best crime series will be shown on Viasat Series and Viaplay.
