Lionsgate signs VOD licensing agreement with iQIYI

Claiming to be responding to the growing demand for premium content Lionsgate has signed a long-term output deal with China's iQIYI.
20140306070412ENPRNPRN-LIONSGATE-LOGO-0919-1y-1394089452MRClaimed to be owner of China's largest comprehensive online video platform with over 5,000 million unique users, iQIYI will have exclusive subscription and transactional video-on-demand (SVOD and TVOD) window rights for Lionsgate franchises, potential tent-poles and star-driven event films. It will also be able to make major promotional commitment on its platform for content such as Hunger Games Mockingjay 2, Allegiant, Now You See Me 2, Sicario and Deepwater Horizon.
