    Predicting keys

I was thinking about finding the algo that generats the keys at the first place.

May be if we do it we will predict keys weeks to moths before they are sent by the provider.

If any one have information, or experience with this idea please let me know.

    Best regards

    my dear mathematician,
trying to predict the 16 or 32 bit hexidecimal number is like playing the lottery,i would rather spend time breaking the lottery and buy the stupid nagra subscription for 10 years. all the best in your don quoxotte quest

    Re: Predicting keys

    No my dear,

It's no probability thing, it's about an exact algorithm that generats these keys (of coures if they are not chosen randomly, and I don't think they are chosen randomly).

If there is an algo that generats the keys in function of some factors like the provider ID, provider name, key index, date ...

Than it's possible to reverse it, it's may be a litle bit hard but possible.

hi m8,it is not bad to think "out of the box".but life is not as easy as you think.
i some time ago tried to get computer and electronic guys intrested in Auto downloading.
process involved finding "seed" in digital stream,to download new keys as they came in from provider.
    some laughter ensued.
six months later Echolink and wiztech recievers came onto the market.
makesd you wonder if all your ideas fall on stoney ground.
    cheers

    Re: Predicting keys

Glad to know some people may think like me,

My idea is that these keys are not radnomly generated, and if there is an algorithm generating these keys we can reverse it.

May be not everybody can see what I mean, it needs special math and algorithmic skillsto get it done, but it is certainly possible.

    What type of "key" ?
you have better way to search for DCW ("only" 6 bytes!) on CSA
Try searching on "DCW brute forcing" or "Deep DCW forcing"
    and good luck ...

    Well,

Thanks for reminding me, brute fors may come with something there.

But, I was not talking about brute force.
