ESPN Player has added a fourth live channel to its platform, focussing on one of the biggest conferences in US college sports.

The ACC Network is dedicated to the Atlantic Coast Conference, one of many divisions in college sports. It’s home to basketball powerhouses North Carolina (Michael Jordan’s alma mater), its arch rival Duke University (led last season by top NBA draft picks Zion Williamson and RJ Barrett), and reigning National Champions Virginia. And in football, the ACC’s Clemson are the current CFP National Champions and among the favourites for the title this year as well. The conference is also home to storied sports programmes such as Notre Dame and University of Miami.

ESPN Player subscribers will be able to watch the ACC live on desktop, iPad and mobile.

The launch of the network includes programming dedicated to the conference’s biggest names and most famous moments, all of which will be available on-demand on ESPN Player. The content is led by four-part documentary series All In: The Clemson Football Family, which offers fans an inside look at the reigning national champions as they prepare to defend their title.

The series captures pre-season training as the Tigers plan for their opener against Georgia Tech and follows the team off the field, including team bonding and summer internships where players give back to the community. In-depth Interviews with the coaching staff also feature, offering an insight into the creation of a team that has won two of the last three national championships.

Unbelievable: Virginia’s Improbable Path To A Title chronicles one of the most extraordinary seasons in college basketball history, the story of the Virginia men’s basketball team’s incredible run to the 2019 NCAA Championship. The Cavaliers pulled off one of the most dramatic turnarounds in NCAA tournament history in 2019 – winning their first NCAA title after suffering a devastating loss to No 16 seed UMBC in the first round of the 2018 NCAA tournament.

The Class that Saved Coach K tells the story of Duke basketball’s legendary head coach Mike Krzyzewski and his 1982 recruiting class that, over four years, would overcome a bumpy start to change the narrative – turning the Blue Devils around and setting ‘Coach K’ on the path to greatness.

Other original content will be added, including: All Access: Louisville Football, an exclusive behind-the-scenes look into first-year head coach Scott Satterfield’s Louisville football team; ACC Traditions, a series of 15, 30-minute programmes focusing on the unique and rich traditions across the league’s 15 campuses, while showcasing a mix of fun, archival and new footage and interviews; and All Access: Notre Dame Women’s Basketball Notre Dame, the two-time NCAA Champions begin a new era this season after graduating five starters to the WNBA. The programme follows the team on its journey toward discovering its new identity.

Subscribers will also be able to download these shows and documentaries to watch offline following the introduction of download functionality to the ESPN Player app.

The new ACC Network joins three ESPN channels on ESPN Player. The Longhorn Network, the official channel of the Texas Longhorns, the SEC Network, dedicated to the powerhouse Southeastern Conference, and ESPNU, focusing exclusively on college sports, are all available live 24/7.
