Spurs duo hail Ramos

Paul Robinson and Jonathan Woodgate have paid tribute to Juande Ramos following Tottenham's Carling Cup win.

Spurs came from behind to beat Chelsea 2-1 after extra time in a thrilling Wembley final on Sunday.

Woodgate grabbed the winning goal after Dimitar Berbatov's penalty had cancelled out Didier Drogba's opener, as Chelsea offered little threat until a desperate onslaught in the last 20 minutes.

Robinson and Woodgate feel Ramos had prepared the players perfectly for the match, both tactically and in terms of boosting confidence.

Spurs' fortunes have been revived since Ramos took charge and they booked their place in the final with a famous 5-1 victory over Arsenal, while they have also climbed the Premier League table.

"He's a top manager and the lads all love him," Woodgate told Sky Sports News.

Robinson added: "He sets teams up in a meticulous way. He has a confidence that he instils into the team.

"He makes you believe you can go out and win."
