DISH Wins Gender Discrimination Suit

According to local media reports, a Denver federal jury on Friday concluded that a former executive assistant at DISH Network failed to prove claims of gender discrimination and retaliation filed against the company.

Sharon Baker, who filed the civil lawsuit, worked at the satellite TV company for nearly six years, through 2004.

In a statement released to the media, DISH said it is "pleased that after seven days of testimony on all the facts, the jury concluded EchoStar did not discriminate or retaliate against Sharon Baker and that her claims were without merit."
