CBS Sports added 13 video providers that will show video-on-demand content from to its coverage of the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship. The providers are DISH Network as well as Time Warner Cable, Cablevision, Verizon, Charter, Insight, Mediacom, Midcontinent, RCN, Wave Broadband and Astound Broadband, Sunflower Broadband, HTC and Bright House Networks. With the offering, CBS Sports is producing customized highlights of all 63 tournament games from the first-round to the championship game, plus historical NCAA March Madness vignettes.
PROGRAMMING - The Maximum Adventure Network (MAN) announced the launch of its 24-hour outdoors adventure-focused television channel, which reaches nearly 17 million DIRECTV television homes in the United States. MAN said it plans to announce further distribution in the first half of the year.
PEOPLE - Pradman Kaul, chairman and CEO of Hughes Network Systems, was among several recipients of the 12th Annual International Leadership Award from the World Trade Center Institute during the Annual Leadership Awards ceremony last night in Baltimore. The award is given to company leaders who have demonstrated leadership, determination and creative strategy in international business, the company said.
