700 MHz Auction Done, T. Howard, FCC Meet
The Federal Communications Commission's auction of 700 MHz auction has concluded, with companies set to pay more than $19 billion in winning bids to the U.S. Treasury in the second quarter. Stifel Nicolaus said it expects Verizon Wireless and AT&T to be among the biggest acquirers of spectrum once more details of the auction are released.
