DIRECTV and 180 Connect, XM and Pennsylvania Primaries
180 Connect, a provider of installation, integration and fulfillment services to the home entertainment, communication and home integration service industries, is being acquired by DIRECTV. The deal will provide the DBS powerhouse with control over a significant portion of its installation and home service network and is expected to close in the third quarter, the companies said. INTERNATIONAL - Arianespace said it was selected to launch the BSAT-3b satellite by Japanese operator Broadcasting Satellite System Corporation. BSAT-3b, which will be built by Lockheed Martin, will fly on an Ariane 5 sometime in the second half of 2010 from the Guiana Space Center in French Guiana.
