Astaire plays Bob Davis, a dancer on Broadway who finds himself at a loose end in Buenos Aires. He attempts to find work at a top hotel in the city only to find himself embroiled in the proprietor's marriage plans for his daughter Maria Acuna.

But Australian soldier Joe Harman sneaks food to them from his labour camp. After the war, Jean visits Joe in his home town of Alice Springs, but finds that her life is none too easy. Both Finch and McKenna won BAFTAs for their performances.

The first one to get to Tomahawk will win the transport rights, but, of course, Dakota will do anything to stop the train, which also happens to have as its passengers a troupe of showgirls who are more than happy to break into song at any opportunity.

Caught by the storm's effects before they can erect safety shields, each of them finds their bodies changed to superhuman effect - Richards becomes the super-elastic Mr Fantastic, Grimm - the super strong Thing, Sue - Invisible Woman, and Johnny - Human Torch. At first revelling in their powers to prevent death and disasters, they find themselves drawn into battle with Victor von Doom. Once the sponsor for their experiments and space exploration, thanks to exposure to the same storm, he is now transformed into Dr Doom, a metallic creature who can manipulate electricity and wants to use his power to destroy the Fantastic Four and rule the world.

Jim Isaac's continuation of the franchise, the tenth film featuring Jason, rises above some of the dire sequels with witty dialogue, some inventive deaths and Lisa Ryder as an android with attitude.
