Fergie driven by title charge

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is backing his players to recover from their European exertions to claim victory at Chelsea on Saturday.

Ferguson's men travel to Stamford Bridge - in a game that can be seen live on Sky Sports 1 - off the back of Wednesday's UEFA Champions League semi-final first leg goalless draw with Barcelona.

Chelsea, meanwhile, were in action against Liverpool the day before the Red Devil's Camp Nou encounter, handing them an opportunity to pounce on a potentially fatigued United side.

But Ferguson is sure his men will dig deep to secure a triumph that will all-but hand them this season's Premier League crown.

"There is a great incentive for us," he told MUTV. "What we have to do first of all though is get the players recovered from Barcelona.

"We have the disadvantage of a day's less rest than Chelsea and then there is the travelling of course.

"We will do our best. We will get the players rested and hopefully we will be all right for Saturday.

He added in the Daily Mirror: "It's a massive game and we are going to Chelsea to win the title.

"They haven't lost there in the league for 100 games, but records are there to be broken."
