Terry driven by disappointments
Chelsea skipper desperate to banish semi-final heartbreaks
Chelsea captain John Terry is desperate to lift this year's UEFA Champions League trophy to banish the memory of previous European failures.
The Blues have suffered heartbreak in the semi-finals of Europe's premier club competition to Liverpool in 2005 and 2007, while they were also eliminated in the final four by Monaco in 2004.
And as Chelsea prepare to face Manchester United in Moscow on Wednesday, a match which can be seen live on Sky Sports 1 and HD 1, Terry is keen to put the past behind him.
"For me, this is the game I've been waiting for," said Terry.
"We have come close and the disappointments have been hard to take down the years.
"But finally we are here and we want to make the most of it. We're very much looking forward to it.
"When you see the trophy and walk in the room and see the atmosphere which surrounds the game, it's awesome.
"It will be the biggest game of my career. I just want to get my hands on the trophy and that will be the icing on the cake."
