Disney going free on Spanish DTT?

Disney plans to launch its flagship Disney Channel free-to-air on Spanish DTT. The channel is usually at the least a basic pay service, and sometimes, a premium pay-TV channel.
Several months ago editorial group Vocento reached an agreement with Disney Spain for Disney to occupy Vocento's DTT Net TV capacity. But it was then too early to confirm whether Disney Spain would launch its core channel's signal free on DTT.

Now the move is on, say market sources.

But it is not clear what will happen with Disney's agreements with Spain's pay-TV operators should the move go ahead. For instance, Disney has four thematic channels including Disney Channel on Sogecable’s Digital+ platform. If the channel goes free-to-air on DTT, it may either have to accept no carriage fees or leave the satellite platform altogether.
