Owen: JT will bounce back
Red Devils ace backing Blues skipper to bounce back
Manchester United's Owen Hargreaves believes Chelsea captain John Terry will bounce back from his personal UEFA Champions League final disappointment.
The Blues skipper had the chance to claim European glory only to see his penalty hit the outside of the upright with Edwin van der Sar choosing to dive the other way.
The Red Devils went on to win the penalty shoot-out in Moscow with Nicolas Anelka missing the crucial spot-kick after Ryan Giggs had found the back of the net.
Terry has already issued a public apology over the miss, however, Hargreaves believes his England international colleague has the mental strength to bounce back from the disappointment.
"If anyone is capable of dealing with that situation, it's John Terry," he told the Sun.
"Anyone would be upset to miss in those circumstances. It's a moment we all dream of and it can go either way.
"But just because you miss a penalty doesn't change you as a footballer or as a person. And I'm sure JT will learn a lot from that and come back even stronger next season."
