Sony Jumps on Cable's Two-Way Bandwagon
Sony Electronics and major cable operators signed an agreement that will enable consumers to purchase "two-way" digital televisions and other devices that can receive interactive digital and high-def video services without a set-top box. The electronics giant made the announcement along with the National Cable and Telecommunications Association. The binding Memorandum of Understanding was negotiated by Sony with Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Cox, Charter, Cablevision and Bright House Networks.
