Programming Pushes from DIRECTV, XM

The 101 Network, DIRECTV's original programming channel, is offering a 13-episode original series from Defiance Entertainment titled "Odyssey: Driving Around the World." The series makes its debut Thursday at 8 p.m. Eastern. The show chronicles a team of seven adventure seekers as they traverse across four continents and two oceans, all to raise money and awareness for Parkinson's disease.

PROGRAMMING - XM Satellite Radio said it will air coverage of the 2008 U.S. Open golf championship at Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego, Calif., June 9-15.

INTERNATIONAL - Intelsat said it is working with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. The organization's World Food Security Summit this week in Rome will be broadcast globally via the Intelsat satellite network.

CORRECTION - Please note, an item that appeared in Monday's version of Evening BRIDGE listed the wrong channel number for Sirius' "Doctor Radio," a new effort from the satellite radio company and New York University's Langone Medical Center. The correct channel number is 114.
