Sirius Canada Reaches Sub Milestone
Sirius Canada on Thursday disclosed that it has exceeded 750,000 paying subscribers, adding more than 250,000 subscribers in the past eight months alone, since October 2007.
The satellite radio company north of the border said the past eight months marked its strongest period of subscriber growth since inception. Sirius Canada said it expects the growth to continue through the busy Father's Day sales period and beyond.
Last October, Sirius Canada was serving about 500,000 customers. In February 2007, that number totaled 200,000.
The figures also topped Sirius Canada's chief rival, XM Canada. In April, the XM service said it was serving 395,4000 customers.
