Czech copyright dispute to end

A dispute over Czech copyright fees is likely to be resolved by the end of this month.

According to a local report, legislation that came into effect in May requires hotel owners to pay a total of CZK90 (3.77) a month for each room to six copyright associations.

However, some of the associations have been asking to be paid separately, raising the amount to over CZK90.

The Ministry of Culture is acting as an arbitrator in the dispute.
