French digital penetration reaches 56%
Fifty-six per cent of all French homes now watch digital television, via DTT, DTH, IPTV or cable, according to the latest research by NPA Conseil on behalf of TDF. This marks an increase of 4.3% compared with three months earlier. In total, 31.5% of all homes are now totally dependent on digital reception, an increase of 1.7%.
DTT is by far the most popular mode of reception for digital viewers, with 42% watching terrestrially. But many people watch still analogue: 45.9% have at least one analogue TV set, while 28.7% have analogue reception on their main TV set.
