Chello Zone has launched its Club channel on the Orbit DTH platform in the Middle East. The reversioned channel will be known as The Hollywood Channel and will focus on lifestyle entertainment programming for women.
“The continued expansion of our channels throughout the Middle East demonstrates the diverse range of programming we can offer to all audiences and demographics,” said Louise Cottrell, vice president of affiliate sales at Chello Zone. “We are delighted to have extended our channel deal with Orbit Communications in a way which is highly tailored to the platform’s objectives; we look forward to the success of Zone Club, re-branded locally as The Hollywood Channel, in the region.”
Chello Zone’s channel portfolio is variously distributed on the Middle East platforms. Extreme Sports launched on Orbit earlier in the summer, Zone Reality is broadcast on ADD and both Extreme Sports and pre-schooler’s channel Jim Jam air on Showtime.
