Polish DTT mux attracts interest
A total of ten parties have so far expressed an interest in being carried on Polandís second DTT multiplex.
The figure, which was provided to Wirtualne Media by the Office of Electronic Communications (UKE), means that the UKE and its fellow regulator the National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) will now have to hold a competition to decide which channels will be carried by the multiplex.
As it only has enough capacity for seven, there will clearly be some disappointment.
The first multiplex is also oversubscribed, with 14 parties having expressed an interest in securing capacity. Poland is expected to finally launch a DTT platform sometime next year.
