UPC widens Polish digital reach

UPC has extended the availability of its digital cable service in Poland.

According to Wirtualne Media, it can now also be received in the North-western Baltic port city of Szczecin and town of Gryfino, located close to the border with Germany.

UPC launched digital cable in Poland in May this year and the service is already available in such main population centres as Warsaw, Kraków, Katowice and the tri-city of Gdansk, Gdynia and Sopot.

As of June 30, 2008 it had 11,300 subscribers.
